Abstract

Coloration is defined as changes in timbre "klangfarbe". Coloration might be the reason why an orchestra/opera hall sounds had, even if all the common room acoustic parameters show good results. In this paper, a closer look is taken at the reflections within the time intervals commonly used for the room-acoustic parameters, their contribution to coloration is investigated, and the results are compared with psycho-acoustic studies.
